In the previous post I asked what everyone thought the image was. It was a bit too easy, I guess. (All the comments were left on my personal Facebook page.) Everyone came pretty close, if not exact. It’s the wind rippling the surface of a tide pool…. essentially ripples on a puddle. The stone the pool was formed in had a lot of really nice colors to it.
I’m in the process of making some changes to this site. At this point, most of this is being done in the background, but it’s causing some things to break and look funny. It might be like this for a week or two until I can get things sorted out.
A week or two ago I went on a three-day solo backpacking trip on the 6-foot Track in the Blue Mountains, just west of Sydney. I’m glad I went, although I’ve had better hiking trips. Physically the trail kicked my butt. I pushed on through, although it may not have been the wisest decision. I was extremely sore and could easily have injured myself. The trail wasn’t as scenic as I expected, either, with it typically going through forests or cow fields with swarms of flies. There were definitely some scenic areas, though, and this is one of them; a stream in an area of rainforest near the beginning of the hike. Click on the image for a larger view.
