Well, I’ve been in the Philippines for almost two weeks now and so far have been rather unproductive with respect to getting out with the camera. I’ve been staying in Lipa City, a rather unremarkable town just south of Manila, although it does have one of the oldest cathedrals in the Philippines. And it has malls and a Starbucks. Today we’ll be heading to Puerto Galera on the island of Mindoro for an extended stay. It’s said to be a nice tropical locale with a beautiful harbor, conveniently accessible to Manila by a relatively easy bus and ferry trip. Unfortunately, it is also said to be overrun by gringos. However, since I myself am a gringo and will therefore be contributing to the gringo population, it’s hard to complain too much about that.
There’s something about reflections that I find intriguing. Reflections of buildings in windows can be a bit cliche, but I think this one of condo reflected in an office building in Seattle’s Belltown is just kinda fun, with a bit of a cartoon-ish flair.
