David du Chemin, a photographer I’ve mentioned a few times here on this blog, has posted another great commentary on a life of risks. These always help to remind me why I’m out here. In addition to the occasional inspirational rambling, I always enjoy his photography, also. Maybe one day I’ll manage to attend one of his workshops.
I’m a little behind on this blog again, although technically there’s no set schedule I need to follow. The last few days have been busy with me running around to various events for the Moriones Festival in Marinduque, Philippines, even getting up at 3:30 am Easter morning to see the Salubong at Bati, or “Ritual and dance celebrating the appearance of the Risen Christ before the Blessed Mother.” Unfortunately it’s questionable whether it was worth getting up so early for this particular event. Overall, though, it’s been an enjoyable and interesting festival and I’ll be posting more pictures from it soon.
