Although I didn’t get out to many of the suburban Taipei areas, Taipei, and Taiwan in general, didn’t seem to have a lot of gargantuan shopping malls in the Western tradition. The two exceptions that I saw were the mall at Taipei 101, and this place, Core Pacific City. Just to give you some perspective, the ball portion of the mall is approximately 8 stories tall, and does contain shops. The interior was a bit of craziness also, and I would like to have been able to photograph in there as well. Oddly, though, the place was rather empty with respect to stores. The place has been there for several years but has still yet to fill completely with stores and shops.
