I’m starting a short series on temples in Taiwan. There’s numerous temples in Taiwan of all sizes. Most seemed to be based on some variant of Buddhism, but there were a few of other religious genres as well, including Confucianism. In contrast to many other temples, the Confucius variety were relatively stark, bare and simple without a lot of ornamentation. They were also quieter, with less people roaming about.
