A few drops of rain were spitting and within minutes of taking this photo, the big black mass to the left arrived and began dumping buckets of rain. Luckily I had managed to make it back to the car before it really opened up. This is the Wet Season in northern Australia and this should be a daily occurrence, but this year has been unusually dry and big storms relatively infrequent. Which is too bad because they can provide great opportunities for some dramatic images. Just be prepared to get wet.
